The Genealogical Central Office is located in the cellar-vault of the Bolongaropalast since 1961. Familiy researchers from all over the world can find there a profound archive with more than 12,000 books, approx. 900 magazine articles, ca. 8,000 records and 300,000 file cards for genealogical research.

We recommend you to use QuickTime which is supplied as part of modern PCs too as it is cost-free and reaches the highest multi-medial efficiency.
The recommended screen resolution should be 1024x768. The transmission of data can be accelerated by using a hyper internet connection with DSL or dual-ISDN (clustered channels).

The interactive 360°-Panorama-Views are captures of moments taken from a permanent position. As a user you might take free views moving to all directions around this position. You only need to move the pointer of your mouse to the requested position within the 360°-Panorama-View while keeping the left button pressed.
Most of the 360°-Panorama-Views are featuring a kind of surround sound to give you the impression of being "right there in place".
So, just turn on your sound system a little bit louder and enjoy impressive experiences while viewing.
